Career Highlights:
Although he has not won on the major tours since 2008, Els has shown impressive late-season form with four top-10 finishes in six starts including a runner-up spot at The Barclays on the PGA Tour in late August.
He showed his class in the 2006 Barclays Singapore Open, where he overcame food poisoning during the week to make it into a sudden-death play-off with Adam Scott, which he narrowly lost.
Last year, Els finished joint-second with Padraig Harrington, a shot behind winner Jeev Milkha Singh. The South Africa, known as the "Big Easy", won the European Tour Order of Merit in both 2003 and 2004.
